The Prayer Shawl Ministry began at St. Andrew in October of 2016. The century-old giving of shawls has come to symbolize shelter, peace and spiritual sustenance. The purpose is to provide handmade prayer shawls for parishioners, family and friends, anyone who would be comforted in a time of need, or celebrate a special occasion. Like all acts of generosity, it enriches the giver as well as the recipient. Most of the creators of the shawls donate their time, talent and yarn. We do accept donations of yarn and money to purchase yarn.
The ministry meets once a month on the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome!
