August 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy August! Are the kids really going back to school in a few days? This month brings us such joyful celebrations. August is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On August 15, The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, we commemorate the moment Mary's body and soul were assumed into heaven at the end of her earthly life. Take time this month to learn more about the Assumption. Mary's body remained holy and immaculate, the temple in which the living God was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Other August celebrations include the Transfiguration of the Lord on the 6th and many great saints like St. John Vianney (4th), St. Lawrence (10th), St. Clare (11th), St. Maximilian Kolbe (14th), St. Bernard (20th), St. Monica (27th) and St. Augustine (28th) to name a few. Learn more about the Saints we celebrate in here.
May God's Mercy and Peace be with you,
Cathy, Deacon Louie, Beth, Liliana, Andy, Erika, Cindy and Rosario
